A Declaration of War: ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.' ~ The Book of Genesis 1.28 These ideas are grounded in the stories--the myths of our culture, our paradigms, our beliefs--that form the core of what we tell ourselves is “reality.” There is power in how we think about things...Thoughts create our physical reality, and they also create our larger reality. Since so much of what we call reality is subjective, there are few “right” or “wrong” stories; instead there are ‘useful’ and ‘not useful’ stories, depending on what culture you belong to, and depending on your status in your culture. Depending on your relationship to the world and your vision of the future. “What do I do if I earnestly desire to save the world?” ‘The story of Genesis must be reversed...’ A Redeclaration of Peace: ‘You are truthful and unified, feeling the Universe and sustaining it; and having communion with every being of the sea and with every being of the air and with every living being that lives upon the Earth.’” ~ A Book of ReGenesis 1:28 Re+viewing 'The First Commandment' of The Book of Genesis Our minds and our culture created our situation. Thoughts create our physical reality, and they also create our larger reality. These ideas are grounded in the stories -- the myths of our culture, our paradigms, our beliefs -- that form the core of what we tell ourselves is "reality." “God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.’” ~ The Book of Genesis 1.28 fruitful - bearing much fruit; productive multiply - to increase or cause to increase in number, amount, extent, or degree subdue - to bring under the authority or control of another; conquer; vanquish dominion - rule or power to rule; control; dominate or be dominated [How has this manifested into reality? -- Human overpopulation, polluted environments, deforestation, the overt and covert oppression of countless life forms, the extinction and endangerment of peoples throughout the history of this culture, all throughout the world. Chronic poverty, chronic greed, chronic tyranny, chronic fear, chronic depression, chronic inadequacy -- Ppul’s Note] Re+Versing 'The First Commandment' creating The Regenisis Every time a culture has been transformed, it’s been because of an idea, an insight, a new understanding of how things are, and of what is possible. Ideas preceded every revolution, every invention, every transformation. If we redefine our cultural norms, retell the stories that make up the reality we follow, then humanity’s behaviors will change to conform to the new stories. “The Goddess’ blessed them, and thought of them, ‘You are truthful and unified, feeling the Universe and sustaining it; and having communion with every being of the sea and with every being of the air and with every living being that lives upon the Earth.’” ~ A Book of ReGenesis 1:28 truthful - being full of ∞; veracious; honest unified - combined or formed into one; closely connected; harmonized sustain - to keep up in existence; maintain; strengthen in spirits; encourage communion - the act of sharing; intimate relationship with deep understanding [How might this manifest into reality? Sustainable human population? Pristine environments? Reforestation? Creation and repopulation of many life forms? The full and total expression of many peoples with their own stories and lifestyles all around the world? Complete prosperity? Complete fulfillment? Complete communities? Complete courage? Complete expression? There’s great insight in understanding this, and power in realizing how much of a role we can play in redefining the future of the planet for ourselves and the children. If we redefine our cultural norms, retell the stories that make up the reality we follow, then humanity’s behaviors will change to conform to the new stories.
